Welcome to Project Innovation Contest

COEP Project Innovation Contest (PIC-2017) is a National Level Project Competition cum Exhibition which provides opportunity to final year B.E/B.Tech students of Computer/ IT department to showcase their technical skills, innovative ideas and competency to solve real life problems. The theme of PIC-2017 centers around “Initiate, Innovate and Implement for Smarter India", while focusing on exploring different trends of computing in the areas of Computer and/or Information technology.

Potential project groups from various engineering institutions are invited to submit abstract (.doc or .pdf format), video link of working model (.mpeg, .mp4 format), and description of about one page (.pdf or.doc format) on the topics related to PIC-2017 competition. There will be five verticals corresponding to different computing domains.

Experts from industry and academics will review the submitted project deliverables and shortlist top thirty project groups (six projects per vertical). The shortlisted project groups will be informed well in advance before the final competition. The shortlisted groups will have to showcase their projects using poster and live demonstration on 29th July, 2017 in COEP. There will be two rounds of evaluation conducted by a panel of judges from industry and academics. In the first round, the judges will select two best projects from each vertical. Out of these two projects first project will participate in the second and final round of the competition. Second project will get consolation prize and certificate. Projects shortlisted in the first round from each vertical will have to give presentation before the panel of judges. Based on the recommendation of the panel of judges, first three projects will be awarded prizes and the remaining two will be given consolation prizes on the same day.

Prizes :

All thirty shortlisted project groups will get a participation certificate.

Competition prizes are as below:

1st PrizeRs. 75,000/- and Certificate

2nd Prize : Rs. 55,000/- and Certificate

3rd Prize : Rs. 35,000/- and Certificate

The remaining seven projects (out of ten projects shortlisted after the first round) will get a consolation prize of Rs. 5000/- each along with a certificate. 

Total prize money of Rs. 2,00,000/-
